sankyoson & life

散居村と日々の暮らし

“métisse” is located in the small village of Fukuno, in the municipality of Nanto, heart of the “sankyoson”, ancestral mosaic of houses and rice fields. About 30 minutes from Kanazawa or Takaoka, this region has remained off the tourist circuits and has kept a unique atmosphere, where community ties remain strong, imbued with culture and tradition. The life of the rice fields, the traditional arts, the ancient ceremonies continue to give rhythm to daily life.
